Saludos Hermanos,

It has been almost 4 years since New York City was selected as the site of the 75th Anniversary Convention. Hard to believe it is now 2007 and in a short time NYC will play host to one of the largest gatherings of brothers in Phi Iota Alpha history. Brothers young and old will be arriving to attend what we hope will be a new launching point for our organization. Opportunities will abound for brothers to enjoy themselves and share memories with multiple generations of brothers.

On the weekend of July 26-29th 2007 brothers will be participating in or attending a multitude of events including everything from paintball to an "intimate" gathering of over 500 friends, and brothers. For many this celebration will mark a very special occasion in their lives. We have brothers celebrating many different anniversaries. One or two that can even boast fifty plus years as a member of our distinguished organization. We hope that you all feel welcome in our city.

While recognizing the need for our organization to shine on this extraordinary occasion we also understood the need to make convention available to all. Conveniences have been included such banquet shuttle service, and shuttle servce to LaGuardia Airport. Our hotel is located in Queens, less then 5 minutes from Manhattan, and less then half a mile from LaGuardia. Once you arrive will find not only the agenda but also discounts for products and services that should make your visit with us that much more affordable.

Local Brothers will appreciate easy access to all event. Wherever possible parking has been considered as well as travel time and traffic. The timing of the events takes into consideration the night time enjoyment of Manhattan as well as public transportation over the weekend. For many this will be the first national event attended in quite a few years and we hope you enjoy every minute of it.

All brothers are strongly encouraged to bring their friends, families and supporters, the city has quite a bit to offer and this convention will be very inclusive of your guests. It speaks volumes that interest in this year's convention has been so high; please be aware that demand may cause us to sell out for specific events and that quick response to any announcements we send out regarding deadlines will improve your chances of guaranteeing your participation. We are looking forward to hosting all our provinces here in the self-proclaimed Capital of the World. The BOT, National Directors, and LI/Metro brothers hope as many brothers as possible come to share the moments and the memories with us.

Semper,
Alex "Genesis" Yepes
